Dennis Libby Obituary
The son of William and Jeanette (Brown) Foxlow, he was born in Dover on September 15, 1951 and graduated from Marshwood High School in 1969.
In 1970 he entered the U.S. Navy as a Seabee. He traveled extensively during his 20-year career with the Navy Seabees. He served two tours in Antarctica, a tour in Iceland and also served two tours in Desert Storm. After his second tour in Desert Storm he retired from the Navy while still in Saudi Arabia.
Dennis was a recruiting officer in Biddeford, ME for 3 years and most recently, he has been employed at Tyco of Portsmouth.
He was a former Boy Scout in Rollinsford.
Dennis was a previous member of the Rollinsford Fire Department and was currently a member of the Rollinsford Post #47 American Legion where he was an Honor Guard.
Members of his family include his parents, William and Jeanette (Brown) Foxlow of Rollinsford, 4 children, Joshua Libby of Greely, CO, Justin Libby and Brandon Libby, both of Rollinsford, and Jackuline Libby of Portland, ME; 3 grandchildren; one brother, William Foxlow, III and his wife, Lisa of Rollinsford; one sister, Jennifer Penny and her husband, Brian of Norfolk, VA; one uncle, Ronald Brown and his wife, Evelyn of Rollinsford; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and his best pal his dog, Shelby.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from Noon to 1 p.m. at the McIntire-McCooey Funeral Home, 301 Main St., So. Berwick, ME 03908.
The funeral service will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Donna Lee Muise, pastor of the First Parish Federated Church, So. Berwick officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot in New Town Cemetery, Rollinsford.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish are invited to make memorials in his name to the American Legion Post #47 Elevator Fund, Foundry St., Rollinsford, NH 03869.

Just thinking about Dennis and google him and found this entry. Dennis and I were stationed at NavFac Cape Hatteras NC in the late '70s. Ran into each other during Desert Shield 1990. Sorry to hear about sad news, especially to Josh. God Bless to the family.

Today is memorial day and I cannot think of anyone who deserved being honored on this day more than you Dennis. You enjoyed being in the military and you did it with honor. You were so special to me and my children. They thought of you as "Dad". We love you Dennis...

Jeanette & Bill, I cannot even begin to tell you the loss I feel. Dennis was such a big part of our lives here before he moved. He was the love of my life and he had called me the day before he died altho it was brief because of my illness. My children and I loved him very much and I'm so sorry for the loss you must be feeling. Love you, Sherri & family
