Dennis A. Luther

Dennis Allen Luther, age 79, of Fond du Lac, died peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa.
He was born August 22, 1945, in Kenosha, WI, the son of Lawrence and Goldie Lichtenberg Luther. Dennis attended Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac. On January 6, 1989, he was united in marriage to Janet Splittgerber-Eckert in Fond du Lac.
Dennis worked as a mechanic for Eckert Sanitation Service/Waste Management for many years. He also worked for Rademann Stone & Landscape and Fond du Lac Department of Public Works. Dennis enjoyed building models, music, collecting records, and he loved his fleet of John Deere tractors.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; her family-three daughters, Jane Freismuth, Joan Sedarski and Jacqueline (Tim) Pittler; five grandchildren, Jenna (Jason) Dondlinger, Justin (Jessica) Reinke, Zachary (Jestina) Sedarski, Virginia Sedarski and Katelyn Freismuth; five great-grandchildren, twins, Jaelyn and Jordyn Sedarski, Hudson Reinke, and Jaxon and Jaron Dondlinger; Janet's brother, Eugene (Kathrine) Splittgerber; Janet's sister, Rita (Otis) Eggen; Dennis' two daughters, Lisa (Rick) Horton and Amber Loberger; his son, Andrew (Traci) Luther; four grandchildren, Amanda (Eric) Johnson, Shane (Christina) Luther, Carissa Loberger and Brady Loberger; three great-grandchildren, Carter, Everett and Allison Johnson; and his two brothers, David (Kathie) Luther and Dale (Pat) Luther. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sandra Huber; and brother-in-law, Paul Splittgerber.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, (on County Y in the Town of Newton, rural Wautoma). Funeral Services will be at 11:30 a.m., with Rev. Blaine Niskanen officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
