Dennis Patrick Nagel, age 76, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 4:19 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at his home. He was born July 10, 1948, in San Francisco, California, the son of John Harold and Dolores Verdie (Evans) Nagel.
Dennis was a 1966 graduate of Polytechnic High School in Sun Valley, California. He served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. He worked as a Patient Assistance Counselor for Cox Health in Springfield, Missouri.
On December 16, 2006, he married Natalya Longinova in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 18 years, Natalya; eight children, Lisa, John, Steve, Mark, Daniel, Chrisy, Oksana, and Nadya; one brother, Brad and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, John, and Dolores and two sisters and one brother.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.

I got to know Dennis when I bought my lovebird. He quickly became a dear friend to me. We had many good conversations on many a topic. He was kind, honest, interesting and a great encourager. He will be surely missed.
