Dennis H. Neuser, 84, of Platteville, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 14, 2024, of heart failure and advanced dementia. Dennis was born on August 23, 1939, to Wilbert and Dorothy (Karl) Neuser in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated from Wauwatosa East High School in 1958 and worked his entire career at American Bio Synthetics, later Bell Flavors, in Milwaukee, working his way up to plant superintendent. On June 7, 1969, he married the love of his life, Suzanne Brockman at First English in Platteville. They raised their three children in Hales Corners, Wisconsin. He taught his children his strong work ethic, and made it a point to attend every activity, performance, and sporting event his children participated in. He also umpired their Little League games and volunteered for their swim meets and the Whitnall High School band. After retirement, he and Suzanne moved to Platteville in 2006 to be closer to their grandchildren. He enjoyed watching them compete and perform, and driving them to Homecoming and Prom in his 1960 Dodge Dart convertible. Family was everything to him, and he loved us all well.
When he wasn't cheering on his family, he enjoyed classic cars, doing jigsaw puzzles, and going for walks. He was an animal lover, just like his mother, and all the kids' and grandkids' dogs loved him too. In his final days he got a real kick out of watching the birds eating from the window bird feeder. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Platteville, and spent many hours volunteering his time there.
He is survived by his wife of almost 55 years, Suzanne; his children Ellen (David) Acierno of Platteville; Susan Neuser of Platteville, and Craig (Amy) Neuser of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; his four grandchildren Caitlin Acierno, Ivan (Zach) Hoerz, Alexis (Barak) Schmidgall, and Sam Acierno, all of Madison. He is further survived by sisters Karen (John) Duckart, Milwaukee, and Jan Neuser, Paso Robles, California; nephew Scott (Lauri) McGivern; nieces Mary (Rich Onderko) McGivern, Donna (Bill) Voss and Diane (Tom) Matoska; and very special family friend and Hales Corners neighbor, Julie Jensen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Gerald; his parents-in-law, Harold and Leone Brockman, and his brother-in-law Richard Brockman. A celebration of life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 20, at First English Lutheran Church in Platteville, with visitation beginning at 10. We hope everyone will stay at the church after the ceremony to visit with Dennis' family, enjoy lunch and share their stories and memories. Burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery in Platteville at a later date.
The family would like to thank Dr. White and Agrace Hospice, especially his nurse, Olivia, for their excellent care. Melby Funeral Home of Platteville will be handling the arrangements. If desired, memorials to Lutheran World Relief appreciated.

Dennis & Family were wonderful neighbors to my parents in Hales Corners. He truly was a great Dad, supporting their children in every endeavor they participated in. He taught them well. My sincere condolences to Sue, and all the family. Matthew 5:4: "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
