Dennis Allan Smith, born on September 22, 1976, in New Albany, Indiana, passed away on January 25, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. He will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, unwavering love for his family, and passions that brought joy to those around him.
Dennis was a devoted father to his son, Dominic (Diamond) Bline, and a cherished grandfather to his beloved grandchildren: Estella, Draconian, and Devereaux Bline. Spending time with his grandchildren was one of the most precious aspects of his life, and he took great joy in creating lasting memories with them.
He is also survived by his sister, Michelle (Alan) Campbell, along with his niece, Hannah Campbell, and nephew, D'Angelo Nelson. Dennis held a special place in their hearts, providing support and love throughout their lives.
A passionate enthusiast of UK Basketball, Dennis found delight in cheering for his team with fervor and excitement. His love for cooking was well-known among family and friends, as he often showcased his culinary skills during gatherings and holidays.
Dennis is preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Lynn Carr, who will also be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Visitation for Dennis Allan Smith will take place on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150.
Dennis's legacy of love, joy, and familial devotion will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed, yet fondly remembered, as we come together to honor his life and the indelible mark he left on those lucky enough to know him.
