Scott Lee Giller, age 73, of Elizabeth, Indiana, was born on July 17, 1952 to Russ and Vi Giller in Frederic, Wisconsin. He returned to his Heavenly Father on March 06, 2026 with his loving family by his side. Scott was retired from the Army Corp. of Engineers and a member of Grace and Truth Fellowship in Clarksville, Indiana. Scott loved the outdoors, history, The Wisconsin Badgers and the Packers. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, but especially his grandsons.
He leaves behind the ones that he cherished, his beloved wife of 46 years, Beth Neill Giller; his daughter, Courtney (Mike) Kannapel; his son, Tyler (Danae) Giller; grandchildren, James Kannapel, Colt Kannapel, Luke Giller, Max Giller and Leo Giller; his sister, Sandy (Mike) Jensen; his brothers, Rick (Brenda) Giller and Rande (Jackie) Giller; along with nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dennis Giller.
Visitation will be from 4:00PM to 8:00PM on Thursday, March 12, 2026 and again on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, March 13, 2026 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Rogers Campground Cemetery in Elizabeth, Indiana.
The family requests that contributions in Scott’s memory be made to Amedisys Foundation.
