Marissa L. "Lynne Smith" Canada

Marissa L. "Lynne" (Smith) Canada, 67, passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 5, 2026 at University of Louisville Hospital. Lynne was born on March 25, 1958 in Corydon, Indiana to the late August J. and Edna Faye (Query) Smith.

Lynne was a 1976 graduate of North Harrison High School and was a former employee of the former Keller Manufacturing in Corydon, Indiana and was a former cashier for Caesars Riverboat Casino in Elizabeth, Indiana.

She enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking her annual Chinese meal. She enjoyed making every birthday and holiday special for her children. She also enjoyed painting, embroidery, watching silver screen movies, her cats, and the Christmas season.

She is survived by husband, Jeff Canada; sons, Lee M. Stroud and Casey L. Stroud and Justin W. Gibson; daughter, Jessica E. Stroud ; step-daughter, Deidre Canada; brothers, August M. Smith and Allen R. Smith; sisters, Phyllis M. Patterson, Teresa C. Ippolito, Lana F. Greemore, Vanessa A. Greemore, and LaLisa K. Crecelius.

Funeral services will be on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 306 Spring Street, Milltown, Indiana 47145. Interment will follow in the Milltown Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday, March 13, 2026 after 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Rev. Cindy Cushman will officiate the service.
