Obituary of Dennis Stankiewicz
Dennis G. Stankiewicz, 74, of North Port, FL and formerly of Pompton Lakes, NJ passed away on May 14, 2022. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was stationed in Taiwan. Dennis spent time working for Western Union for 19 years and as a field engineer for Infortext until retiring in 2005. He loved to spend time fishing on his boat, swimming, hiking, gardening, and bird watching. Dennis also enjoyed playing ping pong and playing pool. Dennis was a member of the PL CERT Team and Living Waters Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Deborah Stankiewicz (nee Cadmus); daughter, Casey Jancerak (Kevin) of Flemington, NJ; two sons, Brad Stankiewicz of Clifton, NJ and Joe LePore (Lori) of Cape Coral, FL; three granddaughters, Caitlyn, Halle and Jillian Annicchiarico; cousin, Patrice Woods; and sister-in-law, Jeri Stankiewicz.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Anne Duran Stankiewicz; and his brother, Joel Stankiewicz.
There will be a visitation at Farley Funeral Home in North Port, FL on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 4-6pm. A funeral service will be held at Living Waters Lutheran Church on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 10am. Burial at Sarasota National Cemetery will take place on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 10am. Farley Funeral Home in North Port is in charge of arrangements.
