Marlene Antonette Stankiewicz

Marlene Antonette (Nebeseny) Stankiewicz, 87 of Indiana, died peacefully
Saturday, June 28, 2025 at St. Andrew's Village. Born May 3, 1938 in Mount
Pleasant, PA, she was the daughter of the late Walter Leonard Nebeseny and
Frances (Gertrudeknerski) Nebeseny. She married the "love of her life", Raymond
James Stankiewicz on August 9, 1958. Their marital span of 60 years ended upon
his death, November 8, 2018.
Marlene enjoyed boating with her family and although she was not a swimmer,
loved putting her feet in the water at Twolick Dam. When they were not boating,
they vacationed in Stone Harbor, NJ, and enjoyed watching the Steelers play
football on Sundays. She was happy being a wife and mother for her family.
Marlene was a longtime member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church. She enjoyed
attending services and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America (CD of
A). Additionally, she was a member of the ABDBs along with her closest friends,
Martina, Patricia, and Debbie.
Marlene will be greatly missed by her four children: Raymond Nicholas
Stankiewicz, III, Indiana. PA; Leslie Stankiewicz Cerovich (John), Kailua, HI;
Marilyn Stankiewicz Losty (Craig), Corolla, NC; and Lorraine Stankiewicz Clare,
Malvern, PA. She is also survived by her brother-in law, Kenneth Stankiewicz
(Sherry), Scottdale, PA; and two granddaughters, Kristen Frances Clare (husband,
David Duncan), Boston, MA and Kathelia Margaret Clare (husband, Lee
Thompson), San Francisco, CA. She will be greatly missed by her grand dog,
Moose, as well as the wonderful staff of Saint Andrews Personal Care Unit where
she lived for the past four years.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM
at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church. Entombment will follow in the church
cemetery. Service arrangements are with Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home &
Crematory, 965 Philadelphia Street, Indiana, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Personal Care Unit at
St. Andrew's Village, 1155 Indian Springs Rd., Indiana, PA 15701.
