Dennis Trickle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Herman-Taylor Funeral Home - Wisconsin Rapids on Feb. 3, 2026.
Dennis Edward Trickle was born in Rudolph to Irene (Trickle) Diesburg and Leonard Trickle. From the very beginning, his life was grounded in family, independence, and a deep appreciation for the things that made him feel free. Dennis passed away on February 3, 2026, at home surrounded by love. Leaving behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and a life lived with heart and soul. He was a devoted father, a proud grandfather, and a man whose passions ran deep.

He is preceded in death by his stepdaughter Nicole Thompson, brothers - Verlon Trickle, Dana Diesburg, and John (Jack) Diesburg, Sister - Yvonne Keuntjes, Mother - Irene Diesburg, and father - Leonard Trickle.

Dennis attended Lincoln High School of Wisconsin Rapids and then went on to join Chicago Bridge and Iron where he traveled the country welding on water towers.

A Harley-Davidson rider through and through, Dennis found freedom on the open road. Riding wasn't just a hobby-it was part of who he was. The rumble of a Harley, the wind on his face, and the miles stretching ahead brought him peace and joy. He carried that same spirit of strength and independence into every part of his life.

He also loved horses, drawn to their power, grace, and quiet understanding. Whether riding, watching, or simply being around them, horses were another place where his soul felt at home.

More than anything, Dennis loved his kids and his grandkids. His family was his pride and joy. He showed his love through consistency, presence, and doing what needed to be done. His lessons were often unspoken but deeply felt-taught through example, loyalty, and love. Those lessons will live on through his children and family. His presence will forever be felt in the lives of those he loved so fiercely.

His grandchildren especially brought light to his days, and he adored every moment with them.

Dennis is survived by his children - son Daniel (Nicole) Trickle, Daughters - Denise (Joseph) Rettammel, Deanna Trickle (Hein), Shoshannah (Kyle) Gomm, Mikalah (Devin Brock) Trickle, Kyannah (Bryan Sarver) Trickle, his beloved 13 grandsons, 6 granddaughters, 4 great grandchildren, brothers - Larry (Patti) Diesburg, Bob (Robin) Diesburg, Deanna (Beth) Diesburg, Sisters - Sandra Diesburg, Sheila (Rob) Malloy, and Sharon (Ron) Gibbons and all those who were lucky enough to ride a stretch of life's road alongside him.

Dennis's wishes were to not have a Funeral Service or Celebration of Life.

Though he is deeply missed, his spirit lives on-in the sound of a motorcycle engine, in open fields and horses under wide skies, and in the hearts of his children and grandchildren who will carry his love forward always.
