Dennis "Denny" Williams

Dennis "Denny" Williams, 78, of Harvey, Iowa, passed away Friday, October 31, 2025, at Mercy One Hospital in Des Moines. Denny wished to be cremated with no services planned at this time.

Denny was born July 14, 1947, to Donald and Sarah Williams, one of eight children in the family. He grew up near Pershing, attending school in Attica and graduated from Twin Cedars High School in 1965. Denny entered the Army and was severely injured in an accident where he broke his back. He worked at the Knoxville VA Hospital for 29 years before retiring.
Denny was a character and enjoyed playing a few jokes and having a nickname for everyone he cared about. He loved the outdoors and you could find him mowing his yard and hanging out with his dogs – Kate and Jack. He loved to go mushroom hunting, fishing and ice fishing, deer hunting, and just about anything to keep him outdoors.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 24 years, Patty Williams; children: Chistine (Chris) House, Skeeter (Susie) Schone, and Stacy (Amy) Schone; grandchildren: Lacy, Walter, Elizabeth, Michael, Shane, Jordan, Shane, and Levi; 20 great grandchildren; siblings: Fred Williams, Gerald Williams, and Vernie (Ray) Ellis; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Denny was preceded in death by his parents: Donald and Sarah Williams; son, CMSGT Bradley Roberts; granddaughter, Kandi Lee; and siblings: Donald Williams Jr, Howard Williams, Phil Williams, and Frank Williams. To send flowers to the family of Dennis "Denny", please visit our floral store.
