This is one of the hardest things to put into words....how to express a feeling of the passing of a childhood friend. A lifelong friend. He was a brother to me, for his mom was and still is a mother to me. DEB, I LOVE YOU. Growing up, we were inseparable. Though I was younger , I always understood and loved the support that his friendship surrounded me with. I was always so excited knowing I would get to be around him. Being two years older, he still always loved to see the smile on my face when I wanted to show off some new creation I made. When I had something to share, he was always there to hear. And boy let me tell you, when he had something to say, it brightened up every single part of my day. Every single time, he loved to see me smile. Never once did he put his age in front of mine. So, of course, I took advantage of it, and never stopped talking, and never stopped showing him things. We were in Swampscott, one time, and I taped paper all over the walls, so that a marble could run down the tracks of paper. I could not wait to show him. He looked at me in the face when he saw it and said it was the best thing ever. He would always look to see that I was happy. What a beautiful friend, and what a beautiful childhood that I was able to share with such a special person. I have so many more stories that are running through my head right now. Deb, I love you. I am giving you the biggest hug in the world right now . I'm crying on your shoulder. I feel that my thoughts and my prayers cannot even express my feelings. I want more words , I want more time, and I will always be holding you. FOREVER - MICK ROBERT

Debbie, I am so sorry to hear of Derek's loss. Being a young mother has not been easy, but to now lose opportunities with him is not fair. My heart goes out to you. Peace,
