Derek Michael Steiner, age 48, of Newcomerstown, OH, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024. He was born on December 17, 1975 in Dover, OH. Derek is survived by his mother, Metha Steiner, his daughters, Jewelieana (Titus Szesze), Jacquelynn, Joella, and Journey Steiner; his beautiful granddaughter Oaklynn Marie and a grandson on the way; mother of his children, Lisa (Adam "Co-Dad") Reidenbach; his sister, Sarah (Dustin) Barrington; nephew D.J. and niece Emilee. He was proceeded in death by his grandmother, Marge Shull and sister Kerry Ann. He earned his GED and construction certification from Buckeye Career Center and worked in construction for many years. He then went on to work in security and janitorial work at New Towne Mall. He loved NASCAR, was a collector of Matchbox cars and hot wheels. His favorite holiday was Christmas. Between gift giving and decorating he was so happy during Christmas time. He loved fishing at Salt Fork which was his favorite place to be. His kids were his world and when he was mobile you could find him at the park getting ice cream and pizza with them. He had the biggest heart you could ever imagine. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be on Friday, October 11th from 4-6 pm at the Salem Fellowship Hall in Stone Creek, OH. The celebration of life ceremony will take place at 6 pm. The family would like to thank Tri-County for their wonderful care through the years. I never knew Derek, but his mother is a 2nd cousin of mine..I would like to get in touch with her. Her grandpa, Marcus Steiner, was my dad's uncle. Max Steiner, I send prayers for the family, so sorry for your loss.
