Derrick Stone Obituary

Derrick Carl Stone was born August 18, 1981 and passed away unexpectedly September 9, 2025 quietly and peacefully in Bethany, Oklahoma.

Derrick was a kind, quiet, intelligent, and sweet soul. Though he was faced with many life challenges, he never complained, but always did his best despite his shortcomings.

The beloved son of Jeanne Selby and the late Carl Lee Stone. He was born in Oklahoma City, Ok. Derrick was a loving brother to Alissa Bishop, Daniel Stone, Andrew Stone, William Matthew Pipkin, and his step sister Veronica Little. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

As a child Derrick had a fascination with how things worked, and with an old garage sale computer taught himself how to write code for programs. He enjoyed building model rockets, or anything that allowed his engineering mind to create. Derrick attended school in Moore, Ok and OCCC with a focus on computer science. Though he didn't complete a degree program his determination and resilience led him to successfully launch his own computer repair business.

Derrick was never afraid to be true to himself and chose a path that brought him happiness, never letting anger or judgement cloud his gentle disposition. He was always willing to help those in need and accepted everyone as they were. His easy going nature with that smile and favorite phrase "oh geez" will be deeply missed.
