Devon Everhart Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 5, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Devin James Everhart, "James". He was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, who left us on March 2, 2025. Though his absence leaves an irreplaceable void, Devin's vibrant spirit, kindness, and unwavering love will forever resonate in the lives he touched. Born on July 29, 1999, in Odessa, Texas, Devin brought joy and curiosity to the world from an early age. A longtime collector of Air Jordans, hats, shoes, and various treasures, he wore his eclectic style with pride.
In his youth, Devin was passionate about skateboarding. He spent countless hours at the skate park. He was a devoted Raiders fan, cheering on his team through every season with unshakable loyalty. He loved to attend various sporting events with his cousins and friends, with whom he had a strong bond. He also loved watching the Yankees play with his great-grandfather Rudy. They were very close. He looked up to him and valued their relationship and the stories they shared.
Those who knew him will remember his sharp wit, strong opinions, and irreplaceable sense of humor-a mind like no other, capable of turning even mundane moments into unforgettable memories. His presence could light up any room, and his laughter would echo in the hearts of those he loved. Above all, Devin cherished time with his family, especially his daughter Violet.
Left to cherish his memory are his girlfriend, Jennifer Gutierrez, and their daughter, Violet Everhart; his mother, Jennifer Nunez, and stepfather, Michael Nunez; his brother, Lyndon Abney, and sister-in-law, Kelsey; his sister, Ryann Everhart, and her husband, Ethan Morrissey; his stepbrother, Kieryn Nunez; step sisters, Heighlyn, Magdelyn, and Seraphyn Nunez; his grandmother, Betty "Mo" Moya. Additional loved ones, include his niece Camrynn Abney, and nephews Bradley Morrissey and Carter Abney, aunt and uncle Melissa and Jeff Castillo, aunt Megan Moya, and many more loving relatives. They will carry forward his legacy of love, resilience, and fierce loyalty. Devin also leaves behind countless friends who became family through his boundless compassion and steadfast camaraderie.
Devin (James) is reunited in heaven with his father, James "Jamie" Everhart; grandparents, James and Lavonna Everhart; great-grandfather, Rudy Encinas; and great-grandmother, Toni Encinas, and good friends "Fern" Fernando Solis and "Shuggs" Elias Hernandez. Though Devin's physical presence is gone, his light remains in the stories we share, the love he gave freely, and the lives he shaped with his unique spark. Rest peacefully, dear Devin. You are forever missed, forever cherished, and forever loved.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Crossroads Church: 6901 E Highway 191 Frontage Rd. Odessa, Texas 79762
In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe for Violet has been set up.
