The Bowling Green native was the daughter of the late Marvin Edward Pedigo and Mildred Marion Pedigo. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Maxie Simmons.
Devonia worked for 20 years at Holley and retired after 20 plus years as a school bus driver from Warren County Schools and also drove children to the Kentucky School for the Deaf in Danville, KY.
Devonia is survived by her son, Mike Basham (Michelle) and her daughter, Sherry Nichols, one sister, Jennifer Burton, grandchildren, Haley Rogers (Chatman), Paige Basham, Emily Hunton, Dillon Hunton, Amber Waid (Collin), Savannah Billups (Ben), and Peyton Nichols, 13 great grandchildren and one nephew, Luke Burton (Cara).
Visitation will be Sunday April 27, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Monday April 28, 2025 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM followed by burial in the Bowling Green Gardens.
