Dewayne Edward Pierce, 56 passed away at 11:14 am on April 14, 2025, at his residence with his loving wife Sarah by his side. Dewayne was born on August 24, 1968, in Vincennes, IN, and is the son of Richard Pierce and Frances (Johnson) Pierce.
Dewayne graduated from Vincennes Lincoln High School; he then went on to serve his country in the United States Army. Dewayne was known for his handyman skills and was even a licensed plumber at one point, showcasing his knack for fixing things and helping those around him. In his downtime, Dewayne loved to cook and was passionate about working on cars. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene, where he enjoyed being part of his community.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Lowe of Vincennes; mother, Frances Pierce, father, Richard Pierce; brother, Rick Pierce of Vincennes, sister, Christy Chesser of Vincennes; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in memory of Dewayne at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1902 Main St., Vincennes, IN 47591. Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of the Nazarene. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is privileged and honored to be entrusted with the care of Dewayne and his family.
