Dewey Wayne Collier

Dewey Wayne Collier, 91, of Cabot, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, December 18, 2023. He was born August 18, 1932 in the Mountain Springs Community to the late Dewey Floyd and Geneva Elaine Haynie Collier. Dewey was a 1951 graduate of Cabot High School and was a Korean War veteran. He retired from Chicopee Manufacturing in North Little Rock after thirty-four years of service. If he wasn't working on a project or gardening, you would find him at family gatherings, fishing, or drinking strong coffee. He was a member of Cabot United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Dewey was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Mundy, Troy Collier and Richard Collier; sister, Doris Morris; son-in-law, Randy Lee Hicks and two infant grandsons.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of seventy years, Eva Dell Huff Collier; daughters, Karen (Kevin) Murphy of Cabot and Lesia (Jeff) Pittman of Jonesboro; five grandchildren, Ashlee (Jacob) McDaniel, Jeremy (Addie) Pittman, Anna Pittman, Jillian George and Katie (Tony) Rossini; seven great-grandchildren, Emmalee and Brayden McDaniel, Charlie and Tyler Pittman, Aidden Rossini and Divya and Priya George, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2023 at Cabot United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Mountain Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home.
