Dexter Smedley Obituary

Born September 16, 1946 in Paoli, Indiana, he was the son of the late Roscoe S. Smedley and Geneva C. (Rutherford) Smedley. On May 5th, 1974 he married Rebecca L. (Dillard) Smedley, who survives.
Dexter was a member of the Livonia Baptist Church and graduated in 1964 from West Washington High School. After graduating High School, Dexter enlisted into the U.S. Army for 2 years. Following his years in the U.S. Army, he entered into the Indiana National Guard for 6 years. He retired from Carpenter Manufacturing in Mitchell, IN, after 30 plus years. In Dexter's spare time, he enjoyed restoring cars back to their natural beauty.
Visitation: 11 am to 1 pm Friday, June 28, 2024, at Livonia Baptist Church.
Funeral Service to follow at 1pm at Livonia Baptist Church with James Bryant officiating.
Committal services and military honors will follow the service at Livonia Cemetery.
