Héctor fue un hombre de fe profunda, dedicado al Señor, a su Iglesia, a su comunidad y a su familia. Como diácono tuvo el privilegio de bautizar y casar a muchas personas. Disfrutaba leer la Biblia en todo momento, y siempre encontraba paz y sabiduría en la Palabra de Dios. También le gustaba jugar billar, construir cosas -ya que era muy habilidoso- y trabajar con sus manos. Era generoso por naturaleza, siempre dispuesto a tenderle la mano a quien lo necesitara.
Le precedieron en fallecimiento sus padres, Juan y Maximiliana; su hijo, Juan David Colón Olán; y su nieta, Karen Colón. Deja en vida a su amada esposa de 72 años de casados, Elsa Colón; su hijo, Héctor Colón Olán; y sus nietos Kayla Colón, Carmen Colón, Zuleika Colón y Héctor Colón.
La familia recibirán a los familiares y amigos para una velación el martes, 29 de julio de 2025, de 11:00 a.m., seguido por la misa a las 12:00 p.m., todo en la Iglesia Católica Santa Ana en Haines City, FL.
