Diana Kay Bailey, 74, passed away on November 9, 2025, peacefully at home while in the comfort of her family's love. Diana was born in Marion, OH on February 22, 1951, to her late parents, Louis Bailey, and Rosalee Banks.
Diana was born and raised in Marion, Ohio where she attended Harding High School and studied accounting at Marion Tech. She then went on to marry the love of her life, Donald Lee Reid, in 1968, in Woodbridge, Virginia. She worked in Upper-Management for Mid-Ohio Packaging for 28 years before retiring.Diana was a proud member of the VFW-3313 here in Marion and was known for her love of playing Bingo and enjoying her favorite wine, Yellow Tail Chardonnay. Diana also could not have had more fun taking trips to Las Vegas. Family was Diana's pride and joy and preparing large meals came naturally as she was known to be the best cook. She took pleasure in crocheting, blankets especially, while also loved collecting family pictures and memorabilia. Diana's loyalty and devotion for animals was familiar to all who knew her and she spread love to many of her dogs, including Doc, Chief, and Tyson who have preceded her in death, while pups, Patches-Milo Reid and Kiki Reid stayed by her side until her passing.
Diana is preceded in death by her parents, and two children, son; Donald L. (Melissa Askew) Reid Jr., daughter; Dorothy (Jeff) Marie Marker She is also preceded by sister; Mona Lee Pentecost. Diana is survived by Donald Reid Sr., brother; Jeff (Diane) Tackett, seven grandchildren; Knox (Leonard Kaczmark) Reid, R.J. (Shelby Normant) Reid, Logan Matthew Witchie, Tristian Witchie, Crystaline Halbert, Paulie Halbert, and Michael Halbert. She is also survived by close cousin, Kaalem Bailey, who was always an arm's length away, providing love, care, and support.
The Bailey Family would like to invite Diana's loved ones and friends to the new side of Marion Cemetery, for a graveside service on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 12 pm, noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the VFW-3313, here in Marion.
