Diana DeBroux Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by O'Connell Funeral Home - Little Chute on Jan. 3, 2024.
Diana L. DeBroux (Strong), age 82, passed away on December 30, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 22, 1941 in New London, the daughter of Byron and Laverne (Fields) Strong. Diana married the love of her life, LeRoy DeBroux, on October 3, 1964, in Hortonville, and they were blessed with 59 years of marriage. They have four children and cherished family and time spent together.
Diana began her career working at Home Mutual Insurance. She also worked for H&R Block and the National Association of Tax Professionals, before she retired. Some of the things she enjoyed most in life were playing cards and board games with her family, music, movies relating to time travel, and traveling with her family and through retirement with her husband. Through her many travels, she especially loved going to Mackinac Island, MI, and returned on many occasions. Everywhere she traveled, she would bring home a magnet to commemorate the trip. Music was always a passion of Diana's. She was a part of the band through school, playing the clarinet, and transitioned to the organ, where she played for her church over the years, and for her family at home.
A special thank you goes out to Snoopy. As odd as it may sound, that dog has been involved in almost every aspect of each of her family member's lives for more years than can be counted.
Diana is survived by her husband, LeRoy; four children: Patrick (Dawn Chartier) DeBroux, Michelle (Daniel) Franz, Kristin (Robby Quandt) DeBroux, and Kevin (Cassi Scanlon) DeBroux; four grandchildren: Alicia (Trevor) Niec, Scott (Jamie Gibson) Weyers, Mikayla (Trenton) Osborne, and Jacob DeBroux; five great-grandchildren: Jaylee, Liam, Sawyer, Aspen, and James.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law, siblings, and many other relatives.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at WORD FELLOWSHIP BAPTIST CHURCH (1020 Tullar Road, Neenah) with Pastor Jim Garnett officiating. Visitation will take place at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
