Diana M. Derstine, age 71 of Rochert, MN died December 25, 2023, at the Frazee Care Center in Frazee, MN.

Diana Marie Derstine was born June 29, 1952, in Belleville, Illinois to Ignatius and Melba (Gruber) Perrine. She moved with her family to rural Frazee, MN as a young girl, where she finished her education, graduating from Frazee High School in 1970. On October 10, 1970, she was united in marriage to Dennis Derstine at the Egeland Lutheran Church, Rochert, MN. They made their home in Detroit Lakes. In 1979 they built their current residence near Height of Land Lake.

She was a cheerful, adventurous, fun-loving gal, who loved and enjoyed her family, going to church, playing piano and singing for the Lord and serving God wherever he led her.

Over the years Diana worked at various businesses in the area, but in her own words, “being a wife, mother, and grandma was her best job”.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis; one son, Ryan (Stacey) Derstine, of Pelican Rapids, MN; one daughter, Becky (Dale) Warren, of Strawberry Lake, MN; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Lonnie (Linda) Perrine, of Frazee, MN; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Gina Perrine and Bonnie Lunde.

Funeral Services will be on Wednesday January 3, 2023; 11:00 a.m. at the Community Alliance Church in Detroit Lakes, MN. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Interment will be at the Church in the Wildwood Cemetery, Height of Land Twp., MN. Arrangements have been entrusted to the West-Kjos Funeral Home of Detroit Lakes.
