Diana Shepherd Torres, a devoted wife, beloved stepmother, and dedicated educator, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025, at the age of 64.
Born on July 7, 1961, Diana graduated from John Jay High School and went on to make a lasting impact on the lives of countless students and families. She dedicated over 20 years to teaching, bringing compassion, creativity, and a deep commitment to her work. Later, she continued serving others through her work at Christus Santa Rosa, where her care and kindness touched many.
Diana was married to Rudy Torres for 43 years, and together they built a life rooted in family, resilience, and care for others. Her dedication to those she loved, along with her quiet strength and kind spirit, will be remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Rudy Torres; her son, Jonathan Torres; her stepchildren, Rudy (Jeanette) Torres and Rhonda (David) Perez; her grandchildren, Xavier Torres, Jay Torres; Ashley Torres, Rudy J Torres, Jacob Hernandez, Madison Chapa and Sofia Perez; and her brothers, Donald (Cindy) Shepherd Jr. and David (Kathy) Shepherd.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Darlene Shepherd.
Diana will be remembered for her quiet strength, her generous heart, and the way she made every person feel seen and valued. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.
A private service will be held by the family.
