It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Diana Gerardi Wilmink, who left this world on January 31, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted wife and mother, a proud grandmother and cherished friend whose kindness and selflessness touched everyone who knew her.
Diana's greatest joy in life was her family, her beloved daughters and grandson, whom she loved beyond measure. She always put others before herself, never hesitating to lend a helping hand or offer a warm smile. She had a giving heart and would do anything for those she cared about.
She was born in Stamford, CT on December 3, 1941 to the late William and Sarah Gerardi and was the first of four children. A former hairdresser, Diana had a vibrant personality to match her ever-changing hair colors, never shying away from adding bold highlights just for fun. She also loved visiting the casino, where she embraced the thrill of the game and the company of those around her. She was a die-hard New York Yankees fan, never missing a game on TV and cheering them on with unwavering devotion.
She was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Bausch. She is survived by her husband, Richard Wilmink, daughter Debbie Tiriolo and her grandson Kyle Bausch of Shelton, CT, who will carry her love with them always.
Friends may greet the family on Monday, February 10th from 4-7 PM with a Prayer Service to begin at 6:30 pm at Cody White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St, Milford, CT 06460. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
