Diane Marie Amado of Carver, MA, also known as Peaches or Peach, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on June 19, 2025, at the age of 75.
Peaches was born on September 17, 1949, in Wareham, MA. She was the daughter of Joseph B. and Alma F. Amado. Peach was predeceased by six older siblings: Rita Barber, Frank (Cookie) Teixeira, Robert (Bobby) Teixeira, Joanne Amado, Roger Amado and Norman (Butchie) Amado.
She graduated from Girls High school in Dorchester, MA and was employed with Blue Cross Blue Shield before moving to Los Angeles, CA in 1976. In Los Angeles she was employed at the Coca Cola Bottling Company for several years. She returned to MA in 1993 to be with her mother Alma in Carver. Peach was employed at High Point Treatment Center as an in-take counselor for a number of years. She was also employed by the Carver School District for over 20 yrs as a Special ED Paraprofessional where she was respected by both her co-workers and students, resigning in August of 2016.
Peach was always smiling and dancing. She loved music and watching movies. She enjoyed playing a variety of games and was very competitive about it. She was a big fan of the NBA. The beach was one of her favorite places to be. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time visiting family.
She had a gentle personality that was family oriented. Often giving a helping hand and offering support and guidance to those she loved. It is her smile, love, and generosity that will leave a lasting impression on all that new her. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will miss her immensely and cherish her memory and love.
