Diane T. Cabral, 72, of West Warwick, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Kent Hospital in Warwick. Born in Providence on May 12, 1952, she was the beloved daughter of the late Salvatore and Theresa (Bruneau) Palazzo.
For 54 beautiful years, Diane shared a devoted and loving marriage with her husband, John M. Cabral. Their bond was a true testament to commitment, love, and shared memories that spanned a lifetime.
Diane dedicated over 30 years of her life working at West Warwick Town Hall, where her reliability, warmth, and work ethic left a lasting impression on her colleagues and community alike. Whether she was at work or at home, Diane gave her full heart to everything she did.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures-lounging by the pool on a sunny day, tending to her garden, preparing delicious meals that brought everyone to the table, and spending quiet, meaningful time with her family. To Diane, family was everything. She took immense pride in her role as a mother, but it was in becoming "Mem" that her heart truly overflowed with love. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment with them.
She is survived by her husband John M. Cabral; a daughter, Stephany Parry and her husband Will of West Warwick; two grandchildren: Douglas and Liam Parry; four siblings: Christine Simpson of Wilmington, NC, Salvatore Palazzo of Arizona, Peter Palazzo of Arizona and Angela Lavigne of Coventry; and a sister-in-law Joann Simpson. She leaves behind a legacy of love kindness and strength that will live on in her family and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 28, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. All other services will be private, in accordance with the family's wishes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Diane's memory to the
American Cancer Society or to
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital-two causes that reflect her compassionate spirit.
