Diane J. Davis-Kester of Falmouth, passed away on 22 January, at the Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center located in
Sandwich, MA.
She was the daughter of Victor H. and Roberta M. Kester both now deceased. She began her life on the North Shore where she was born in
Salem, MA in 1949. She spent her youth and adult years living in Falmouth with her family. She loved the Cape Cod beaches and spent many happy days with her friends at Surf Drive Beach. As a child and young adult, she was very involved in activities at the Saint Barnabas Church, as well as singing in the choir. She was also an active member of the Rainbow Girls for many years. From an early age she played the piano and took ballet lessons, which led to her love of being on the stage. As a young adult she and her best friend enjoyed participating in the Highfield Theater shows where they enjoyed perfecting their acting skills. During her high school years, she was a member of the pep squad and loved to cheer on the Falmouth football games. Diane was a people person, and she loved to spend time with her friends to share dinners, laughter, and dancing the night away!
She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1968, and upon graduation worked for various local establishments including Elsie's German Restaurant, Bibbo's Palmer Avenue Market, and Dornleigh Gift Shop. While living in Cataumet, during her early twenties, she also held a position at Datamarine then located in Pocasset, Massachusetts.
She is survived by her two sons James S. Parker and son, Eli, and Benjaman M. Davis; her sister, Kristin T. Kester and daughter, Kaitlin, and brother, Victor J. Kester, Sr., and wife, Patricia; and other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many cousins on the North Shore.
Her family extends gratitude to all her caregivers at the Cape Heritage Health Center In Sandwich, Hospice of Massachusetts, and special thanks and appreciation to Pastor Shiloh for her many visits and spiritual support during Diane's illness.
