CUMBERLAND, RI
Diane M. DeCoste, 69, of Milford, NH and formerly Cumberland, RI, passed away on May 6th, 2025 at home. She was born February 10th, 1956 in Rhode Island, daughter to Kenneth Johnson and the late Constance "Connie" (Desrosiers) Johnson. She was the wife of Raymond A. DeCoste and they had been married for the past 25 years.
Raised in Cumberland, RI, Diane eventually found a home in Woonsocket, where she had her only child, Victoria. Diane then lived for a number of years in Mapleville, RI with her husband Raymond DeCoste. Most recently, Diane resided in Milford, NH for the past five years, after moving to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.
Diane DeCoste was employed for many years by CVS Corporation as an administrative assistant, making many friends at work over the years. In her retirement, she has enjoyed spending time doing water aerobics, cooking, and crafting, and working part time at Home Depot as a cashier, where the best part of her job was all of the dogs she was able to meet.
Diane was a beloved Nana to her two grandchildren, whom she doted on, and loved spending time with and watching them grow. In her free time, she was an avid cook, creating family favorite dishes--and even preparing many recipes for her dog, Kya. Those who love her will remember her openness and friendliness, her powerful independence, and her big, wonderful smile.
In addition to her husband, she leaves her father, Kenneth Johnson, her daughter, Victoria Flaherty and son-in-law Lance Flaherty, and her grandchildren, Colton and Declan.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Diane's Life Celebration to be held on Monday, May 12, 2025 at 12:15 PM with a chapel service at Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Road, Cumberland. Visiting Hours have been respectfully omitted.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland, RI.
