Dr. Dianne Gutterman was not only my mentor but my friend for many years. I met Dianne at Health Care for the Homeless. I was the mental health reach worker. Dianne taught me many things. She encouraged me to return to school to become an RN.
Dianne was the most dedicated , smart, kind person. She would come with me on the street to do emergency petitions. She never turned anyone away. I loved her dearly!! I met and knew Josh when he was young . After HCH, I worked again at Union Memorial. Dianne came to my graduation , lunches and family gatherings. I really miss her. I was very sad to hear of her passing. I called her a few weeks before and she told me she was sick. I planned to go see her but she passed. Dianne will always be with me. She was my friend.

Dr. Diane Gutterman was a truly amazing woman and a person I was lucky and blessed to call my doctor for 20 plus years. She helped me become the person I am today and I am incredibly blessed for that.
But even more so she was more than a doctor, she was intelligent, smart, beyond knowledgeable about so much...she was compassionate and caring. She took the time and let us know we were important. And she loved life, but she loved her family and her traveling most of all.
My heart goes out to her family in their loss of their Mother, Grandmother, Friend, Sister, Aunt, etc. I pray you know that you are not alone right now.

I am so saddened to hear of Dr. Gutterman's passing. She helped take care of me for the past 10 years. She was one of the most caring physicians I've ever had and her compassion spoke volumes. I cried so hard when she shared with me about her illness. I wish that I had gone to see her and shared some love... the love that she shared with others. I am praying for the comfort of the family.

My Heart is Broken! I met Dr. Gutterman in 1988 at HCH. She was our outreach psychiatrist. Dr.Gutterman was amazing, she cared for our patients and worked tirelessly to care for them. She taught me many things. She became my mentor, gave me great encouragement to attend nursing s school and I had the honor of becoming her friend. I have many stories about Dr. G.. She was truly the Best. It would be bitter could evening and she would meet me out on the streets of Baltimore to do an emergency petition. I worked with her about ten years there then UMH for many more years nursing. We were friends. Diane came to my graduation , lunches , ect. I had a great deal of respect and admiration for her. She was one of the good ones!! I am deeply sorry for Josh and his family. I will pray for her and see her again.

In your lifetime, it is rare to meet a doctor that cares so much about her clients as Dr Gutterman did. I had the pleasure and honor to work with Dr. Gutterman. She touched my life and helped me to be a better person and a better nurse. I will take what I´ve learned from her and share it with my patients as I Continue my career. I´m very grateful to have had the pleasure to work with someone so courageous. Our last conversation I told her how much she meant to me. Her dedication to her clients and her wealth of knowledges were all inspiring. Thank you Dr Gutterman. I will remember you always. Sharon Collins
