Diane L. Hurlebaus (Drever), a long-time resident of Randolph, Massachusetts, known for her friendly demeanor, loving heart, and unwavering kindness, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2023. Born in Milton, Massachusetts on March 24, 1943, she was the cherished daughter of the late Robert Drever and Bessie (Bezzanson).
Diane was a proud graduate of Milton High School and later attended community college for two years. Her early career saw her working diligently as a File Clerk and Business Manager for Mr. Auto parts Store in North Quincy, where she served for a decade. After that, she bravely faced the challenges of living with disability for the next 30 years, showing remarkable strength and resilience throughout.
On June 30, 1984, Diane married the love of her life, Richard W. Hurlebaus of Quincy. Together, they created a beautiful life and family. Diane's daughter, Jane, married to Ken Kuban of Weymouth, blessed her with a grandson, Zachary Kuban. Diane's family was her pride and joy, and she relished in the role of wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love for her family was evident in all she did and said, and her home was always filled with warmth and love.
Diane had a genuine love for reading, particularly mysteries and historical novels. She found solace and joy in the world of words, often getting lost in the pages of a good book. Her love for literature was infectious, influencing those around her to appreciate the written word. In addition to reading, Diane also enjoyed watching television, always ready with a hearty laugh or a thoughtful comment about the shows she watched.
Diane will be remembered most for her loving nature and kind spirit. She had a heart full of compassion, always ready to lend a hand or a caring word. Her friendly demeanor won her many friends, and she was known in her community for her unwavering positivity and warmth. Despite the challenges she faced due to her disability, she never let it dampen her spirits. Instead, she chose to focus on the positive aspects of life, spreading joy and love wherever she went.
In all aspects of her life, Diane was an embodiment of kindness. Whether it was in her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, friend, or colleague, she always brought a sense of love and warmth. Her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Diane L. Hurlebaus (Drever) was a beacon of positivity and love, a woman who touched lives with her kindness and joy. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate her life, a life filled with love, resilience, and an unwavering spirit. Her memory will forever be engraved in our hearts, and she will be dearly missed.
