Diane Setter Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 19, 2025.
Diane Edith Setter, 63, was born in Clifton, New Jersey in 1962 to Gladys and Robert Troast.

Diane attended William Patterson University and earned a degree in Education. Over the years, she was an adored teacher at Immaculate Conception High School and BASS ABA Therapy School where she touched the lives of many students, families, and coworkers.

Diane cherished days spent soaking up the sunshine at the beach with her loved ones, and she especially treasured the time with her grandchildren, who filled her life with endless joy and laughter. She will be remembered by her ability to create a community with others, her warm heart, and most of all, her unconditional love.

She is survived by her children, Cassandra and Corey Hobbs, Allison and Drew Ellerson, Nicholas Setter, Jessica Setter and her grandchildren, along with her sister Donna Troast and brother Robert Troast.

Diane was preceded in death by her father Robert Troast, her mother Gladys Troast, and her beloved son Douglas Setter.

Per her wishes, Diane will be cremated and her ashes scattered in a private gathering.

Donations in her memory can be made to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance: https://ocrahope.org/get-involved/ways-to-give/make-a-donation/
