DiAnn Weaver, 87 of Kenton passed away at The Blanchard Place on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born in Kenton to the late Gerald L. and Thelma L. (Pfeiffer) Hastings on April 12, 1937. She married H. Ross Weaver on March 6, 1960 and he preceded her in death on November 23, 2020. They were married for 60 wonderful years. She is survived by three sons, LeVern (Nancy) of Kenton, Donovan (Kristi) of Ridgeway and DeWayne (Melissa) of Kenton, a daughter, Lucille (Robert) Burden of West Liberty. She was a loving grandmother to 12 grandchildren, Natasha (Shawn) Dyer, Nathan (fiancee' Alyson Purcell) Weaver, Grant (Stephanie) Burden, Taylor (Seth) Weaver-Rosamilia, Benjamin Burden, Brady (Hannah) Weaver, Trevor Burden, Matthew (Lindsey) Weaver, Nicholas Burden, Gabrielle (fiance' James Shirley) Weaver, Alexandr Weaver and Raisa Weaver, along with six great-grandchildren and one on the way: Sydney and Levi Dyer, Clayton, Reed and Branch Weaver, and Natalie Burden. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, DeVern P. Hastings and Robert Hastings and her special aunt, Ruthella L. (Hastings) Morison Wetherill.
A member of the graduating Class of 1955 from Kenton High School, then onto Miami Valley School of Nursing for her RN degree in 1958. Thus began her 42 year career of caring for others at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton, and she also became a School Nurse for Riverdale School's during part of those years.
DiAnn & Ross owned and operated Candilane Farm where they had a Hostein Dairy Cow Herd, East of Kenton. She was a member and held positions in many organizations such as: Rainbow for Girls-Kenton, Goshen Grange, Mother's of Twins Club, Wyandot Chapter & Latham Chapter of Ohio Eastern Star, Hardin Co. Dairy Service Unit, editor for the Taste of Home magazine and the last member of Hardin Co. Farm Bureau Council # 33 of Goshen Twp. Last and most important is St. John's Evangelical Church, Kenton, where she served on commitees, Church Council, sang in the choir, attended Bible studies, Golden Buckeye Sunday School Class and loved the Lord.
Funeral services will be held at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11am with Rev. Dr. Randall Forester officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7pm Friday, January 24, 2025 with an Order of the Eastern Star service beginning at 3:30pm at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the Hardin County Council on Aging and online condolences can be shared by visiting stoutcrates.com.
