I love this picture of Dianne (or as we childhood friends of hers called her, Diger, rhymes with Tiger). I grew up one house away from Knauers in Whitefish Bay. Dianne was the oldest of the neighborhood playmates, and she was the kindest of us all. We loved her. I am the same age as Lynn, and Dianne was a year ahead of me in school. Even though we never went to the same school, except for kindergarten, we were great friends. I loved helping Dianne care for her younger brothers and sisters. I was able to visit Dianne and stay in her dorm (Angel Hall) at LaCrosse and visit her once in St. Paul. I am sure that Dianne will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. I am so sorry to hear that she has passed away, but it sounded like a peaceful way to go. Love to you, Dianne.

I knew Dianne in the 1980s, as a neighbor a couple blocks away in Saint Paul. Dianne and my mother, who also recently passed, were good friends and the Farleys would have us over a lot. Her son and I were about a year apart in age, and I have great memories of going to Phalen and the Dairy Queen on 4th. To Jim, Matt, and Chris, I want to share my most sincere empathy for your loss. Dianne was a wonderful person and, though she may be physically absent, her spirit is still very much alive. Let this be your comfort during this very difficult adjustment period. Love you guys.

Dear Jim, Chris and Matt. We were shocked to read of Dianne´s passing.
We do have good memories of Cub Scouts with her and the boys. When my mom was having her cancer treatments we were able to catch up on our families. Where they were living and what they were doing. I´m sorry we lost touch with each other. We will keep her and all of your families in our prayers.

I send my best and prayers to Matt & Lisa. I did not know Dianne, never had the pleasure of meeting her. I do know Matt her son and she must of been a fine lady to have raised a great person like Matt. I have known Matt for many years....he is a good person and it takes a good mother to raise great kids. I´m so sorry for your families loss of a wonderful mom. May god help carry you though this difficult time. God bless

We were neighbors of Jim & Dianne's for many years. We enjoyed many good times with them. We would take turns driving our kids to school. Our kids grew up together. We would help find their cat, Huggie, when she got out and hide under the neighbors ' evergreen tree. A lot of memories about Dianne. Rest in peace. Judy & Dennis Defiel
