Dianne Loveless Jenkins departed this life for her heavenly home on Saturday, February 18th, at the age of 79.
She was born on August 22, 1943 to Howard Payne Loveless, Jr. (10/3/1914-12/25/2003) and Margaret Patricia (Patsy) McCann (10/1/1918-2/26/2009).
The second of four sisters, Dianne was born and raised in Chickamauga, GA. Her family attended the First Methodist Church of Chickamauga. She graduated from Gordon Lee high school, and then attended the University of Georgia, receiving a BA in Education, and then worked as an English teacher. Dianne got involved with Campus Crusade for Christ while at UGA, which fueled her faith in Jesus Christ. She then went on to obtain a Master of Divinity from Candler Theological Seminary and worked as a curriculum writer for the Methodist Church, among other jobs. She later obtained her Master of Education degree and returned to teaching middle and high school English, from which she finally retired in 2003. At the time of Dianne's death, she was a member of Madison First United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for several years.
Dianne married Bill Wylder DuBose (1943-1993), and they had four children, to whom she was always a devoted mother. She married Rev. Dr. C. Layne Jenkins in 1997. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters Ann-Janette DuBose Locke (Kyle), Patricia Jane DuBose, her son John Wylder DuBose (Anna Carol), and her sisters: Enid Weissinger, Ruth Thompson, and Elaine Wallace. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Kaylie Chandler, John Thomas Locke, Abigail Locke, Noah Locke, Anna Locke, Emily DuBose, Wylder DuBose, and Violet DuBose, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Dianne was predeceased by her daughter Rosanna DuBose, and her niece, Enid Weissinger Crutcher.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February, 25th, at Madison First United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Grady Mosley. The family will receive friends at the church, following the service.
