Dianne E. Patterson, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 29th, 2025, in St. Petersburg, Florida, at the age of 80. Born on September 3rd, 1944, in Boston, Massachusetts, Dianne carried with her the warmth, resilience, and charm of her New England roots throughout her life.
Dianne dedicated her life to helping others, especially children and families. She was deeply involved in her community through organizations like Back Pack Angels, Purple Playas, and The Learning Center. Her passion for education and positive impact on youth led her to a groundbreaking role at the University of South Florida preschool site, where she became the first to implement a program-wide Positive Behavior Support system-an initiative that set the foundation for lasting change and care within the school.
Dianne was a pillar of strength and compassion, known for her giving heart, boundless patience, and sharp sense of humor. She found joy in her family, her community work, and the simple pleasures of life-especially spending time with her grandchildren and her faithful dog, Aussie.
She is survived by her loving brother, Raymond Miller; devoted daughters, Kristie Brois and Karen Jordan; son in law Todd Jordan; and adoring grandchildren: Meghan Jordan, Brett Jordan, Brooke Jordan, and Courtney Brois. Her beloved dog, Aussie Jordan, will also miss her dearly.
Dianne's legacy of kindness, service, and love will live on in the countless lives she touched.
A celebration of life will be held in her honor at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to one of the organizations Dianne cherished: Back Pack Angels, Purple Playas, or The Learning Center.
She was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
