Dianne B. Prunty, age 81, of Kirtland, peacefully passed away on November 11, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 1, 1944 in Painesville, Ohio to the late Alfred and Treva Rabbits.
Though Dianne's Associate Degree was in business, she found her real love was service to people as a home health aide; first for the Lake County Health department and later retiring from Ohio Living Breckenridge in 2011.
After retiring she continued her life of service by volunteering with her friend to deliver Meals on Wheels and managing a bluebird trail at the Holden Arboretum.
Dianne loved nature and being outdoors. She was an avid birder, loved hiking the Lake Metro parks, and had excellent knowledge of wild plants and flowers as well as home flora. But she would say she especially loved family and home.
Those that know Dianne say she was wonderful, helpful, warm, and kind, while nieces and nephews would say she was the sweetest, funniest, and naughtiest of aunts with her great sense of humor and penchant for teasing.
Dianne was a proud US Navy Veteran.
Dianne was the beloved wife of Otho Prunty Jr., for 32 years; a loving mother of the late Peter Shivers, and Jason Prunty; and a caring sister of Anne, and the late Lann (Wilma), Lyle (Cathy), and Phyllis (Don).
