Diannia Marie Rogers, beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, in Denver, Colorado. Born on August 23, 1946, in Portland, Oregon, Diannia's nurturing spirit, unwavering support, and boundless love will forever live in the hearts of her family and friends. She was one of the strongest women to ever walk this earth, and our family was blessed to have her in our lives.
Raised by her parents, Veona and Charles Monroe, she enjoyed her childhood surrounded by her loving siblings. Diannia cherished her family bonds and carried their spirit of unity throughout her life. She was a woman of strong faith who instilled in others the importance of family, hard work, and doing what was right. She was a true role model who will always be looked up to.
She won a number of beauty pageants throughout the Portland area, which led to her modeling career where she was featured in Ebony magazine. After graduating from Girls Poly, she welcomed her beloved son, Michael. She then began her career with the Federal Government. Later, she moved to Denver to pursue new opportunities within other government agencies. There she met Willie D. Rogers, and they wed on July 20, 1974. They shared over 50 wonderful years of marriage together.
Diannia dedicated her life to being a loving mother and wife. She excelled in supporting Michael through all of his athletics and accomplishments. She encouraged her family through their many passions and challenges. Whether backing Willie in his career change or helping Michael navigate difficult times, she made it her mission to uplift and strengthen those she loved.
In her spare time, Diannia loved to read - completing nearly 500 books over the years. She also found joy in shopping, movies and cooking for her family, using the cherished recipes passed down from her mother.
She was preceded in death by Veona and Charles Monroe, Charles E. Monroe, Alice Monroe, Clotine Turner, and Marilyn Monroe. She is survived by her husband, Willie Rogers; son, Michael Rogers; siblings, Roy Clay, Pat Stephens, Faye Shabazz, Kaye Robinson, Carl Monroe, Ronda Taylor-Link; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Please consider a donation in Diannia's name to Denver Hospice in lieu of flowers. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Diannia, please visit our floral store.
