Paul Fisher Greenlee, Jr., passed away in Murrieta, California on October 7, 2025. He was 97 years young and still sharp of mind. He was born on January 3, 1928 in Englewood, Colorado to Scot-Irish parents, Paul Greenlee and Mildred McCracken. He was also blessed with two sisters, Juanita and Gail. All of them have preceded him in passing. Paul was a 1945 graduate of Englewood High School. On his 18th birthday he enlisted in the Navy. He was stationed on Guam and was assigned to the metalsmith shop repairing airplanes and their parts. After his discharge, he went on to receive a business degree from Heald's Business and Engineering School. Paul was honored as valedictorian of his class. In 1952 he fell in love with Evelyn Mayer while working in the same office building in downtown Denver. In 1953 they married and a year later they settled in California. Here they welcomed three children, Mark, Lynn, and David. After moving to California, Paul enjoyed a long career in construction and retired as CEO and President of Kidder Plumbing, Inc. in 1983. The years brought grandchildren and great-grandchildren which added great joy to their lives. Time together as a family was always put first. It was spent enjoying, celebrating, and supporting each other. Paul was a man of many passions. Days were filled with Mark and David's baseball games, Lynn's dance events, fishing trips, golfing, hunting, picnics, family barbecues and swimming at his sister Juanita's house. Paul is remembered as a man of integrity, generosity, wisdom, humor and love. He cherished every moment spent with loved ones. He's survived by his cousins Judy and Joann; his children Mark, Lynn and David; his nephews Ken, John, Paul and Ben; his grandchildren Savannah, Tara, Jake, Riley, Parker, Morgan and Peyton; his great-grandchildren Hudson, Hunter, Evelyn, Ava, Owen and Sloane. His wife Evelyn, the love of his life, passed away 21 years ago. They had been married 51 years and he missed her every single day.
A funeral service to reminisce and honor his life will be held at 11am on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Fairmount Cemetery's Little Ivy Chapel, 430 South Quebec Street, Denver 80247. In lieu of flowers, Paul asked that donations be made towards cancer research.
