Dick Hamilton Obituary
Ladon "Dick" Hamilton, 75, of Grand Ridge died Friday, February 4, 2022 at his residence.
Dick was a man of many talents. He was a lifelong peanut farmer and enjoyed many days spent in the fields with his son and brother. He also raised hogs and made the best sausage in the south. He enjoyed many days selling his boiled peanuts and produce while visiting with the many people that looked forward to seeing him each year. His favorite pastime was fishing in the Chipola River and Paris Lake. Dick always made everyone feel loved and welcome. He will truly be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Alford Hamilton; and parents, Ottis & Lena G. Hamilton.
Dick is survived by his son, Jason Hamilton (Amanda); one brother, Oscar Hamilton (Margaret), all of Grand Ridge; one sister, Wanda McArdle (Terry) of Geneva, AL; nieces, Ashley Hamilton, Amanda Hamilton and Teresa Godwin; special friend, Winnie Anderson all of Grand Ridge.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at James & Sikes Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Carpenter Cemetery in Grand Ridge immediately following the service with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
Visitation will be Monday, February 7, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 PM, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
