Dierdre "Dee" Bonnie Taylor
September 21, 1942 – March 7, 2025
Dierdre (Dee) Bonnie Taylor passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on March 7, 2025. She was born in Portland Oregon on September 21, 1942.
In her early years her parents Lamont (Bud) Cook and Velna J. Cook moved the family to Lacomb, Oregon. She grew up and graduated from Lebanon Union High School in 1960. She worked during school as a receptionist for a local optometrist and later the local telephone company, Telephone Utilities. She also modeled for the local dress shop.
In 1961, she married William (Bill) Taylor. They had three children, Jill, Gina and Brett. The family moved to Redmond, Oregon where Dee worked as office manager of the local Key TV Cable Television, and later for The Redmond Spokesman. She was a typesetter and a printing, advertising and sales person for Midstate Printing.
After thirteen years the family moved to Kerville, Texas, but home was calling and they moved back to the valley to the Lacomb area to be near family. Dee went back to the telephone company, now Pacific Telecom where she worked for 25 years and left as the Marketing and Sales Manager.
She then went to the Norm Webb Real Estate School and became a Realtor/ Broker She moved to Newport, Oregon and worked for Century 21 for another 13 years.
Dee especially enjoyed traveling and has traveled to most of the United States including Alaska and all the Hawaiian Islands. She traveled to Canada, Europe, Mexico.
Her hobbies included, gardening, boating, fishing, and jewelry making.
She enjoyed raising her Boxers, Sadie, Khloe and Molly, They were her best friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Jill Cummings and Gina West, Eight Grandchildren; Korby, LaRae, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Jayna, Jason, Logan and Sherman and Thirteen Great- Grand Children Cadence, Hunter, McKenzie, Chazlynn, Addison, Rebekah, Hailey, Callie Atalee, Avery, Maddalinn, Ashlyn, and Able. Dee was preceded in death by her son; Brett Taylor, mother; Velna Cook and father; Lamont (Bud) Cook.
A funeral service will be held for Dee at 11am, Friday, March 14, 2025 at Huston-Jost Funeral Home in Lebanon.
