Dirkland DeFever Obituary
Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Milton Jackson, associate pastor with Cornerstone Gospel Band Ministries, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Dirk was born on October 20, 1967 in Amarillo to Larry and Dyalthia Bradshaw DeFever. He attended schools in Amarillo. Dirk worked as a cook, a security guard, and for Budget Car Rental. He also assisted his dad in training horses for several years.
Dirk was preceded in death by his mother and one grandson, Marvin Shannon.
He is survived by his daughter, McKenzie DeFever of Amarillo; his father, Larry DeFever of Amarillo; his brother, Greg DeFever of Lubbock; and two granddaughters, McKenlie and Jaci Shannon, both of Amarillo.
