Dishawn Alan Gilbert of Nicholasville, KY died unexpectedly on April 24, 2025. He was born on September 5, 1982, in Dover-Foxcroft Maine. Dishawn is survived by his mother; Lori Ames Robinsons, sister; Jessica Crawford, two nieces; Ashley and Olivia Crawford of Milford Maine, brother; Brad Richardson of Dexter Maine and so many others.
Dishawn grew up in Maine where he attended Foxcroft academy. Dishawn worked for many years for CMD as a landscaper, plow truck driver, and Auto mechanic.
Dishawn moved to Kentucky in 2019 to be with the love of his life Jessica Perigo-Gilbert. The two were married in October of 2020. Together they have a son Travis Gilbert age 11. Travis was and is Dishawn's hero. Dishawn lived for their family adventures and one of his favorite places for family trips was Mexico.
Dishawn had his work family at MLS power sports. He loved them all. Dishawn loved riding the machines / motorcycles at MLS power sports with all of them.
Dishawn was a man of his word and expected the same from the people in his life. He is sincerely missed by all that crossed his path.
Memorial Service 7:00 p.m. will be on Wednesday April 30, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Care Cremation and Funeral Service 1304 Bryan Avenue Lexington, KY. please come and say your "see you laters" because he hated goodbyes.
A go fund me page has been created to help support Dishawn's Family during this trying time.
There will be a celebration of life in Maine for Dishawn's family and friends at end of June, more details to follow. Thank you all for your love and support!
