Dixon Irvin "Dick" Fisher, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina entered into joy on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 93 years old.
Dick Fisher was born on January 14, 1932 in McMinnville, Tennessee to Thomas Curry and Cora Maude Fisher.
Dick graduated from Decatur High School and served in the Naval Reserves from 1955 to 1959.
On Nov. 24, 1961, he married Euna Theo Ellington at First Baptist Church, in Decatur, Ga. They celebrated 56 years of marriage before Theo's death in 2017.
When Dick retired, he had been working in the life insurance business for over 45 years. He worked alongside his father, brother and even his mother at Interstate Life Insurance Company then later worked for Gulf Life and American General where he earned the District of the Year award in 1993. He was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church of Macon, Georgia; Covenant Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Faith Presbyterian Church in Myrtle Beach for many years.
He is survived by one son and two daughters: Kerry Dixon Fisher, Kelly Shobe, and Wendy Sensing. His beloved grandchildren include Kaitlin Khawaja, Morganne Turberville, Jared and Anna Fisher, Elizabeth Dickson, Elli Miller, and Wilbur, Thomas, John Douglas, Rebekah and Joseph Sensing plus a host of great grandchildren- Sophie Fisher, Grayson and Miles Turberville, James, Ezra, and Brin Dickson, Wilbur Sensing, Bear and Autumn Sensing, Danny and Lucy Miller, Henry and Owen Sensing.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 7th at 1pm at Faith Presbyterian Church in Myrtle Beach with Pastor John Irwin officiating.
His burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park in Ringgold, Ga. in December.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations can be made in Dick Fisher's memory to the Carolina Forest Church Fund or the Deacon Fund,
online at www.faithmyrtlebeach.org since these two funds reflect Dick's deep commitment to the spiritual growth of future generations.
