Dodson was born on March 19, 1924 and passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018. Dodson was a resident of South Boston, Virginia at the time of passing. He attended Virginia Tech for 2 years prior to joining the US Army Air Corps. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December12, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Main Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wayne Rickman and the Rev. Leigh Felton officiating. Burial to follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 5:00 until 6:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at his home. For memorials please consider the Main Street United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 701 North Main Street, South Boston, VA 24592 or the American Legion Post 8, 1710 Jeffress Blvd., South Boston, VA 24592.
