Dolly Marie Shiflet

Dolly Marie Shiflet, age 88, of Speedwell, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the LaFollette Medical Center in LaFollette, Tennessee.

Born July 25, 1937, to the late General and Vertie Miracle, Dolly devoted her life, at a very young age, by being saved and she was a longtime member of the Flatwoods Freewill Baptist Church of Speedwell, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, Dolly is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Shiflet; one brother, Bill Miracle; and five sisters, Geneva Brooks, Clearcie Fortner Patterson, Polly Evans. Bessie Rains and Edna Burchfield.

Survivors include one daughter, Mae Shiflet; one sister, Dora McCartt; and a host of special nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel Funeral Home, on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 5-7 PM.

Funeral services to immediately follow, in the funeral home’s chapel, at 7PM, with Rev. Randy Hurst, officiating.

Interment to be held privately at a later date at Flatwoods Cemetery in Speedwell, Tennessee.

Family and friends to serve as pallbearers.
