With deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved sister, adored tita, cherished cousin, loyal life-long friend.

Dolores Cruz Macapagal, fondly nicknamed "Dolet" was the 3rd in line out of 12 children born to Filemon and Agapita (nee Cruz) Macapagal on April 8, 1941. The family lived in Navotas, Phil. She studied at St. James Academy for her primary and secondary education. She finished college at the University of Santo Tomas, earning her Bachelor's in Commerce degree in 1962.

She was the first of the siblings to migrate to the United States of America, in 1969. She then petitioned her parents first and the other siblings were able to follow afterwards. She worked in the Banking Industry most of her professional life, until she retired about the year 2015.

Those who know Dolet speak of her honesty, super generosity, kindness and thoughtfulness. She was always concerned about others, willing and able to help.

She loved working with her hands. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing crafts: cross stitching, crocheting, sewing, doing alterations, making & repairing jewelry, baking, cleaning, keeping the house orderly. She also liked solving crossword puzzles and Sudoku. Shopping was a passion! She obviously loved traveling here and abroad as you can see from the slideshow.

Dolet is survived by: 7 siblings; Crisanta, Imelda, Filemon Jr., Marylou, Cecilia, Ramon and Marita; brothers in law Reynaldo Mendoza, Edwin Bermudez & Reynaldo Valle; nephews, nieces, great nieces, great nephews; extended Family & numerous friends.

She will be missed, but remembered in our hearts.

We thank God for Dolet. And, we thank you beloved Dolet for everything.
