Dolores Agnes Ross

January 21, 1928 – December 2, 2025

Dolores Agnes Ross, age 97, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Xenia, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the Grace Davis House, Ocala, Florida.

"Do Do", as she was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Anyone that knew her, at some point, was given a loaf of her famous banana nut bread. Her passing will leave a void in the hearts of her family and friends whose lives were touched by her.

Dolores was born in East Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to the late Harry and Della Freeth. At a very early age, her father Harry passed away. Della remarried to Einar Danielson, who raised Dolores. In 1950, Dolores married the love of her life, Robert Ross. They settled in Xenia, Ohio in 1954 where they raised their three children. When her children were older and established in school, Dolores went to work at the Xenia YMCA as an administrative assistant, she worked there for over 22 years and retired in 1995. After that, Dolores and Robert became "snowbirds" and enjoyed every winter in Florida.

Dolores was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert G. Ross; son, Brad C. Ross; sisters, Lois Hileman and Marlene Kaminski.

Dolores is survived by her daughters Del Jean Ross (Wyenona Hicks) of Ocala, Florida and Candith Ross (Gretchen Henrich) of Xenia, Ohio. Three grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A sister, Donna Law of Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Dolores also leaves many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Grandma Do Do is also survived by her two loving grand dogs, Theo (her best buddy) and Mika.

Per Dolores's wishes there will be no service.

I have fought the good fight,

I have finished the race,

I have kept the faith.

Henceforth there is laid up for me

the crown of righteousness,

which the Lord, the righteous judge,

will award to me on that Day…
