Dolores Maria Tamayo

Dolores Tamayo, age 80 of Houston entered into eternal rest on October 15, 2022. She was born on January 28, 1942 in Houston, TX.
She was married 61 years to her husband Ralph, together they raised 4 children in Denver Harbor. She was a lifelong member of Resurrection Church and Denver Harbor Civic Association. She was an amazing Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, and Friend. After raising her children, she spent many years caring for the neighborhood children. Her favorite hobby was casino trips. She loved dancing The Twist. She had a beautiful and giant heart that touched many lives.
Dolores is preceded in death by Mother, Macrina Sanchez, Father, Fernando Ypina, Step-Father, Santiago Sanchez, Sister, Carmen Uribe, Sister, Alma Palacios.
She is survived by her beloved family which includes Husband, Ralph Tamayo, Sr.; Two Sons, Ricardo Tamayo, Ralph Tamayo, Jr.; Two Daughters, Macrina Rodriguez, Lia Alejandro; Two Daughter-in-laws, Carolyn Tamayo, Laura Tamayo; Two Son-in-laws, Tino Rodriguez, Jacob Alejandro; Two Sisters, Lillie Cervantes, Janie Guerrero; Ten grandchildren, Sarah Tamayo, Rick Tamayo, Matthew Tamayo, Thomas Tamayo, Sabrina Tamayo, Rachel Rodriguez, Jacob A. Alejandro, Jessica Tamayo, Alma Tamayo, Jennifer Patina; 1 Great-grandson, Everado Tamayo.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 23, 2022, 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home, Houston, Texas with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022, 10:30 am at Resurrection Catholic Church.
Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
