Dolores (Gravelle) Therrien, 81, of Gardner, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2025, in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Fitchburg, on February 19, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Gloria (Lizotte) Gravelle. She was a graduate of St. Bernard's High School with the class of 1962, she later attended and earned a degree from Stevens Business College in New Hampshire. Dolores was employed as Head Clerk at Stop and Shop in Gardner for several years until her retirement.
Dolores was a devoted parishioner of Annunciation Parish, practicing at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Gardner. She had a love for travel, making yearly trips to Florida and enjoyed cruises with her husband and close friends. She delighted in attending theater productions and plays at Mount Wachusett Community College, and the Hannover Theater in Worcester. She had a passion for classical music and attended many concerts in Boston. She enjoyed evenings out to dinner, reading novels, and listening to concerts at Monument Square in Gardner. Above all, Dolores cherished the time she spent with her family.
Dolores is survived by her husband Robert J. Therrien of Gardner, with whom she spent the past 62 years of her life with; two sons, Michael Therrien and his wife Kelly of Gardner, Christopher Therrien and his wife Pamela of Warren; a daughter, Michelle Atter and her husband Matthew of Hubbardston; one grandson, Kyle Therrien; a brother, Kenneth Gravelle; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling Hours will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Funeral Mass will follow from the funeral home with a Mass at 12:00 p.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will be at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gardner Fire Department Relief Association, 70 City Hall Ave. Gardner, MA 01440. Please reference in memory of Dolores Therrien.
